PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that can prevent a reduction in productivity and suppress an increase in toner consumption, an image forming system, and an image density correction method.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus comprises: an image forming part that forms a first output image on the basis of first image data; a density detection part that detects the density of the first output image formed by the image forming part; and a density correction part that performs density correction on the basis of a result of detection performed by the density detection part. The density correction part calculates, on the basis of a result of detection of the first output image performed by the density detection part, a result of detection of a second output image performed by the density detection part when the second output image is assumed to have been formed by the image forming part on the basis of second image data including color information not included in the first image data, and performs density correction by using a result of the calculation.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
