Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus performing correction of the position and deformation of a multi-value image, and prevent the occurrence of white void around characters and line drawings to output high-quality images even when a background is other than white.SOLUTION: There is provided an image processing apparatus performing geometric correction to input image data, the image processing apparatus comprising: geometric correction means that creates a plurality of pieces of pixel value correction image data having different pixel values from each other on the basis of object information on the image data; composition means that selects, from the plurality of pieces of pixel value correction image data created by the geometric correction means, a pixel value to be applied for each of pixels to create correction image composition data; and pseudo gradation processing means that performs pseudo gradation processing on the correction image composition data created by the composition means.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
