PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transmit a proper image to an external device.SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus 1 transmits an image to an external device. The image processing apparatus 1 includes a communication control unit 56, a processing unit 55, and a processing determination unit 54. The communication control unit 56 controls a first communication unit 20-1 to transmit a captured image automatically to the external device when the image is captured by imaging means, and controls the first communication unit 20-1 to transmit the captured image manually to the external device when the user selects a recorded image. The processing unit 55 processes the image. The processing determination unit 54 controls processing of the image to be transmitted to the processing unit 55, based on whether the image transmission is automatic transmission of the first communication unit 20-1 controlled by the communication control unit 56, or the manual transmission of the first communication unit 20-1 controlled by the communication control unit 56, when transmitting the image to the external device.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
