Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To propose a halftone method capable of responding flexibly when using many types of ink.SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus includes first and second half-toning steps performing first and second half-toning different from each other. The second half-toning step performs second half-toning for the second type color other than the first type color, that is predetermined one or a plurality of colors, out of a plurality of colors constituting an original image, in units of block collecting a plurality of pixels constituting the original image, and converts into the amount of second type ink corresponding to the second type color out of the plurality of inks. The first half-toning step performs first half-toning of each pixel constituting the original image or each pixel group of smaller number than that of the pixels constituting a block, for the first type color, and converts into the amount of first type ink corresponding to the first type color out of the plurality of inks.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
