Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow an imaging apparatus capable of acquiring a captured image having high definition and high picture quality to be easily and inexpensively provided.SOLUTION: A color separation prism 20A being a light separation section separates incident light into a plurality of wavelength regions. Imaging elements 31R, 31G and 31B provided in each wavelength region to be separated perform photoelectric conversion by using the light of the separated wavelength regions and generate imaging signals. Each pixel size of the imaging elements 31R, 31G and 31B is 2.5×2.5 μm or less, and a registration error of the imaging element provided in each wavelength region is limited below a threshold based on the pixel size. An imaging apparatus suppressing adverse effect due to the registration error to be in an acceptable range and being capable of acquiring a captured image having high definition and high picture quality can be easily and inexpensively provided.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
