PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide simulated powder that can exhibit high dusting characteristics according to need and can exhibit scattering property close to pharmaceutical powder, and provide a method for evaluating a scattering state of the powder using the simulated powder.SOLUTION: [1] Simulated powder is used in substitution for the powder in order to evaluate a scattering state of the powder, and the simulated powder is obtained by powdering material liquid containing lactose and tracer material using a spray dry-method. [2] The simulated powder is characterized in that at least the surfaces of fine particles composing the simulated powder are porous. [3] The simulated powder is characterized in that the grain sizes of the fine particles composing the simulated powder are 0.5 μm to 30 μm. [4] The simulated powder contains at least any one among a fluorescent substance, ATP and ATP derivative as the tracer material. [5] Furthermore, the simulated powder is characterized in that second simulated powder prepared by a method other than the spray dry-method and containing at least the lactose is mixed therein.SELECTED DRAWING: None
