Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-axis force sensor capable of accurately detecting force components to external force acted from a periphery, and making the whole structure compact.SOLUTION: A 6-axis sensor 10 is equipped with a sensor unit 11 provided with a plurality of pressure sensors 16 capable of detecting pressing force in one direction; a cover 12 provided around the sensor unit 11, and configured so as to transmit acted external force to the sensor unit 11; and a computing portion 13 which obtains force components in a multi-axis direction of the external force by computing, on the basis of a detection value from each pressure sensor 16. The sensor unit 11 is arranged with each pressure sensor 16 so as to detect pressing force from different directions, and is provided so that at least a part of the pressure sensors 16 can detect the pressing force, even if the external force is acted on the cover 12 from any one of an orthogonal 3-axis directions.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
