Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a virtual DB system and a virtual DB system information processing method capable of integrally processing information in a virtual DB including data sources having a function to transmit an event notification.SOLUTION: A virtual DB system (virtual DB) 1 includes: a schema/rule storage unit 20 storing therein a client AP schema 21 to which an AP2 can refer, a data source schema 22 corresponding to respective data sources, and a mapping rule 24 for making the client AP schema 21 correspond to the data source schema 22; and a plurality of adapters 30 converting a query executed by the virtual DB 1 to a query executed by each data source or a protocol corresponding to the data source. The virtual DB 1 receives a query from the AP2 and executes the query via each adapter 30 upon rewriting and optimizing the query on the basis of the mapping rule 24.
