Abstract:
To be able to perform engraving on a coil material that is supplied to a press machine that molds a portion of a can, with high accuracy, by suppressing the coil material from loosening, even if speed of feeding the coil material varies, when performing engraving for each object to be molded.SOLUTION: A laser engraving device comprises a feed mechanism that feeds a coil material at set speed and a laser head that performs engraving on each tab to be molded, by emitting a laser beam the coil material to be fed at the set speed. The feed mechanism comprises a feed roll that is provided at a downstream side in a feeding direction of the coil material of the laser head, and controls the speed of feeding the coil material, and a tension roll that is provided at an upstream side in the feeding direction of the coil material of the laser head, and imparts tension to the coil material. The tension roll performs torque control of a motor for driving the roll so that loads applied to the roll are constant.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
