Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing a deinked pulp having high-ash content and excellent residual ink removability, the method obtaining the deinked pulp from a printed waste paper, reducing sludge ash, and reducing a loading material to be used.SOLUTION: The present invention provides a method of producing a deinked pulp. It is a method for pulping a printed waste paper through a series of steps comprising at least: a disintegration step, a dust-screening step, a bleaching step, a dispersion step, a floatation step, and a cleaning step. A pulp slurry having gone through the bleaching step and the dispersion step is subjected to a deinking treatment in the floatation step in a neutral range of pH 6 to 9. Thereafter, right before the cleaning step, one or more selected from a coagulant, a paper strengthening agent, and a retention aid is/are added to the obtained pulp slurry, and then a cleaning treatment is carried out.SELECTED DRAWING: None
