Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the difference of thickness due to the place of a filler in a region surrounded by a sealant, in a display device.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method for display device includes a step of preparing an array substrate provided with a display area, a step of preparing an opposite substrate facing the array substrate, a step of providing at least one of the array substrate and opposite substrate with a sealant so as to surround with no break, a step of providing a filler in an area surrounded by the sealant, and a step of sticking the array substrate and opposite substrate together. In the step of providing a sealant, the sealant is provided so as to have a first area, and a second area having a cross-sectional area smaller than that of the first area in a direction orthogonal to the length direction of the disposition. In the step of sticking the array substrate and opposite substrate together, the filler is leaked between the second area and at least one of the array substrate and opposite substrate.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
