PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for an electronic component in which a first metal plate made from a first metal strip having a contact (a corresponding part line) is efficiently positioned and connected onto a second metal strip having a pair of fixed tabs (the corresponding part line), thereby improving a production rate.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method for an electronic component according to the present invention comprises: a first conveying line L1 which conveys a first metal stripe 30 for forming a contact; and a second conveying line L2 which conveys a second metal stripe 50 for forming a fixed tab. In the first conveying line L1, a first step S100 of forming a first penetration hole 36 to the first metal stripe 30 and a second step S101 of obtaining a first metal plate 37 by cutting the first metal stripe 30 in each contact corresponding part group 35 are executed. In the second conveying line L2, at least a third step S102 for forming a tongue-shaped piece part 54 to the second metal stripe 50 is executed. After that, at least a forth step S103 in which the first metal plate 37 is moved up to a connection position of the second metal stripe 50 and subsequently a temporal caulking processing is executed and a fifth step S104 for executing a main caulking processing are executed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 11
