Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piezoelectric material not using lead and potassium, having a large piezoelectric constant, and good mechanical quality coefficient, and to provide a piezoelectric element using the same.SOLUTION: A piezoelectric material consisting of a main component of perovskite metal oxide represented by a following general formula (1), at least any one of Mn and Ni, and Mg, in which the content of Ni is 0 mol or more and 0.05 mol or less for 1 mol of the perovskite metal oxide, and the content of Mn is 0 mol or more and 0.005 mol or less for 1 mol of the perovskite metal oxide, (excepting the case where the contents of Mn and Ni are 0 mol simultaneously), and the content of Mg is 0.001 or more and 0.02 mol or less.
