Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermoplastic resin composition giving a molded product excellent in impact resistance and transparency and to provide a method for producing a thermoplastic resin composition that is excellent in productivity and gives a molded product excellent in impact resistance and transparency.SOLUTION: The resin composition includes a methacrylic resin and a graft polymer. The graft polymer has a rubber layer including polyorganosiloxane and the rubber layer has a mass average particle diameter of 0.16 μm or more and a variation coefficient of the mass average particle diameter of 20% or less. The method for producing a resin composition comprises: impregnating a monomer composition A including a crosslinkable monomer and then polymerizing in the presence of polyorganosiloxane; adding a monomer composition B including a crosslinkable monomer and polymerizing in the presence of the resultant polymer to produce a rubber layer having a mass average particle diameter of 0.16 μm or more; adding a monomer composition C and polymerizing in the presence of the resultant rubber layer to produce a graft polymer; and blending the resultant graft polymer into a methacrylic resin.SELECTED DRAWING: None
