Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solar battery manufacturing method that uses aluminum as an element electrode on a solar battery having passive membranes on both the surfaces thereof, and can cause aluminum to act as a dopant in a semiconductor contacting aluminum, and suppress formation of oxide film.SOLUTION: A solar battery manufacturing method comprises: forming an opening h in a passivation film 121 on the back surface 100 B of a semiconductor substrate; bringing molten aluminum or aluminum alloy into contact with the opening h to form a back surface spot-like electrode 122D made of an aluminum-containing film; heating the semiconductor substrate after a light receiving surface electrode forming film containing glass frit is printed on the light receiving surface 100A to form a light receiving surface electrode 115 which penetrates through a passivation film 111 and contains glass frit; and heating the body portion 132 of an inter-element connection body comprising a metal foil while the body portion 132 is brought into contact with the back surface spot-like electrode 122D to diffuse aluminum just below the back surface spot-like electrode 122D so as to form a high-concentration p-type doped layer 123.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 11
