PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide further improvement of a spherical hydrophilic resin in uniformity of a shape or particle diameter size, further smoothness of a surface because a rod-like hydrophilic resin is formed partially.SOLUTION: There is provided a spherical hydrophilic resin obtained by a manufacturing method for manufacturing a spherical hydrophilic resin (B) by melting and mixing a polyvinyl alcohol-based resin (a) and a hydrophilic resin (b), wherein a contact angle when making a film from the polyvinyl alcohol-based resin (a) is 20 to 80°.SELECTED DRAWING: None
