Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a zinc oxide ore, capable of stably holding a collection rate of zinc in a reduction roasting step at a desirable level in a site manufacturing a zinc oxide ore using a pellet consisting of steel dust and carbon, etc., as a material.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a zinc oxide ore, capable of manufacturing the zinc oxide ore from steel dust comprises: the preliminary mixing step S10 of mixing the steel dust and a carbonaceous reducer to obtain a reducer involved pellet; the reduction roasting step S20 of reductively roasting the reducer involved pellet to obtain a crude zinc oxide; a wet step S30 of subjecting the crude zinc oxide to wet processing to remove some fluorine; and the drying and heating step S40 of drying and heating a crude zinc oxide cake after the wet step S30. The collapse strength of the reducer involved pellet in the preliminary mixing step S10 is 950 g or more and 1500 g or less, and the collection rate of zinc in the reduction roasting step S20 is 95% or more.
