To provide a marking device which attaches a marker in a wide range of circumference of long-size steel material.SOLUTION: A marking device 10 is the device for attaching markers onto a plurality of pieces of long-size steel material with coating material P, in the middle of conveying the plurality of pieces of long-size steel material (rod steel 7) in the longitudinal direction of the plurality of pieces of long-size steel material as conveyance direction. The marking device 10 includes rollers 11 which are provided so that orthogonal directions of the longitudinal direction get to rotation center lines C and have a plurality of V grooves 20 annular into the outer circumferential direction side, side by side in the orthogonal direction, nozzles 12 which eject the coating material P for the plurality of pieces of long-size steel material which are loaded on the rollers 11 and are conveyed and a moving mechanism 13 which has a component in the orthogonal direction and moves the nozzles 12. Intervals of the plurality of V grooves 20 arranged side by side in the orthogonal direction are larger than the largest size of cross-section of the plurality of pieces of long-size steel material.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
