PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medium transportation device capable of performing more appropriate static elimination.SOLUTION: A medium transportation device 10 comprises: feed rollers 28, 30, 34 and 38 transporting a medium P along a transportation path; a static elimination member 44 eliminating static of the medium P transported by the feed rollers 28, 30, 34 and 38; an attachment section 64 detachably attached with the static elimination member 44; and switching means capable of switching at least any of an attachment position and an attachment attitude of the static elimination member 44 in the attachment section 64. The switching means is configured to be capable of switching the position of the static elimination member 44 to a plurality of positions in a direction intersecting with a surface of the medium P transported. Further, the switching means is configured to be capable of switching the attachment attitude of the static elimination member 44 with respect to the surface of the transported medium P.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
