Abstract:
To provide a method of estimating a road area having a possibility of inducing irregular crossing, a method of creating map data with the estimated road area inducing irregular crossing, a device thereof, and a computer program.SOLUTION: A method of estimating a road area inducing irregular crossing includes the steps of: extracting a road area with a lane where a line of stopped vehicles of a predetermined length is present on a road with multiple lanes, with reference to probe data stored in a probe data storage unit; identifying a traffic volume of other lanes when there is the line of stopped vehicles with reference to the probe data, for the road area extracted in the step of extracting; and extracting the road area where the identified traffic volume is equal to or less than a predetermined value to set this as a first road area inducing irregular crossing.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
