Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an encoder that is provided to change at least one signal frequency λ of sine-wave analog scanning signals SIN and COS determined by a position.SOLUTION: In a case where the sine-wave analog scanning signals SIN and COS have higher frequencies, the operation mode of the encoder is changed according to the frequency f of the sine-wave analog scanning signals SIN and COS so that sine-wave digital output signals DSINk and DCOSk will be supplied to a digital-analog converter 5 at a higher output rate and a smaller word width than in a case where the sine-wave analog scanning signals SIN and COS have lower frequencies.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
