Abstract:
To provide a molten salt electrolytic cell capable of making the life of a heat exchanger longer.SOLUTION: A molten salt electrolytic cell 1 electrolyzing a molten salt in a molten salt bath, comprises an electrolytic chamber 30 having electrodes including an anode 31 and a cathode 32 and a first gas recovery port 21 recovering gas generated by electrolysis, and a metal recovery chamber 40 having a second gas recovery port 22 communicating with the electrolytic chamber 30 to recover gas. The molten salt electrolytic cell 1 further comprises a heat exchanging chamber 50 which communicates with the metal recovery chamber 40 and the electrolytic chamber 30, and has a heat exchanger 51.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1A
