Abstract:
To provide a rotary electric machine in which the downsizing as a whole machine can be easily attained by reducing an arrangement space of a circuit for switching coil connection systems.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a coreless rotary electric machine comprising a housing 12, non-rotary stator coils 18 forming an annular shape, and a rotor 16 including permanent magnets positioned on opposed faces of the stator coils 18 separately from the stator coils 18. The stator coil 18 consists of a plurality of phases, and each phase consists of a plurality of coils. A circuit section 20 capable of switching a connection system of the coils constituting each phase between a serial system and a parallel system is provided, and the circuit section 20 is proximate to a circular end of the stator coils 18 and is mounted in a coil switching substrate 24 disposed substantially in parallel with the circular end.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
