PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To seal reaction vessels in which amplification takes place in order to prevent contamination between wells prior to, during and after the amplification reaction.SOLUTION: A multiwell plate 301 for amplification and a lid 302 with a foil 303 for sealing the multiwell plate 301. Two positions of the lid 302 on the plate 301 exist, one position for storage, and the other position for sealing of the foil 303 to the plate 301.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 44
