Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new addressing system for controlling an electronically addressable display.SOLUTION: This invention includes a system for a rear addressing display for enabling in-plane switching of display material. Another system includes a rear addressing system using a reverse reflection surface for enabling a much wider viewing angle and contrast. Other system includes an electrode structure for simplifying manufacturing and control of a color display. Other electrode structure simplifies addressing of the display by using an electrostatic stylus. A method for using the disclosed electrode structure is also disclosed. The other system includes a device configured by combining the display material with a silicon transistor addressing structure.SELECTED DRAWING: None
