Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular occupant restraint device that can exert high occupant restraint performance continuously even after actuation of a pretensioner is finished.SOLUTION: A belt guide 20 energized toward a bottom part 32A by a spring 34 is arranged in a belt guide hole 32 formed on an upper surface 16A of a seat back 16, which is inhibited from moving toward the bottom part 32A by a stopper 38 in a normal state. When a collision is predicted, a pretensioner is actuated to wind up a seat belt 22, and the winding up of the seat belt 22 releases the stopper 38b. After the actuation of the pretensioner is finished, the belt guide 20 is moved toward the bottom part 32A of the belt guide hole 32 by energizing force of the spring 34, and then draws the seat belt 22 into a lower part of a vehicle. More specifically, even after the actuation of the pretensioner is finished, tension generated by the drawing is applied to the seat belt 22, so that high performance in restraining an occupant P can be maintained.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
