Abstract:
To provide an optical sorter with improved accuracy for discriminating defective products and/or foreign substances.SOLUTION: An optical sorter comprises an optical sensor and a determination unit. The optical sensor is configured to detect, on the basis of a first lighting pattern and a second lighting pattern, two types of light among reflected light that is light reflected by a sorting object, transmitted light that is light transmitting through the sorting object, and reflected-transmitting light that is combined light of the reflected light and the transmitting light. The determination unit is configured to detect foreign matters and/or defective products on the basis: of two types of images corresponding to the two types of lights detected by the optical sensor among a reflection image that is indicated by the reflected light, a transmission image that is indicated by the transmitting light, and a reflection-transmission image that is indicated by the reflected-transmitting light; and a remaining one type of image obtained by addition or subtraction performed on detection results of the two types of light.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
