Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for manufacturing a permanent magnet motor, using a neodymium magnet containing terbium, inexpensively while improving the efficiency.SOLUTION: A motor 100 is constituted of a stator 110 and a rotor 120. Permanent magnets 122 are inserted into the magnet insertion holes 121 formed in respective poles of the rotor 120. A neodymium magnet containing neodymium, iron and terbium is used as the permanent magnet 122. The content of terbium is in a range of 0.5-2 wt% when the number of main poles is 4, in a range of 0.4-2 wt% when the number of main poles is 6, in a range of 0.3-2 wt% when the number of main poles is 8, and in a range of 0.2-2 wt% when the number of main poles is 10.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
