Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a position information provision system and a position information provision method, capable of securely providing an external device with the position information of mobile equipment.SOLUTION: In a position information provision method for a communication system 1, even if an SLP 40B cannot refer to an SLP-DB 50 due to a fault etc., causing disabled subsequent normal processing, transfer is made to another SLP (SLP 40A). The SLP 40A, on receiving the transfer, can notify a GMLC 20, which is a request source, of the positioning result on the basis of request source information included in the transferred positioning result information. Thus, the position information of mobile equipment 60 can securely be provided to the GMLC 20.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
