Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide the rail welding mold and the sealing method for the mold that the mold manufacture is easy and the manufacturing precision is high, the abrupt step difference of a rail joining part is avoided, the generation of flash is prevented to secure enough joining strength, further even if there is a clearance between the rail and the mold, the clearance can be simply sealed.
CONSTITUTION: The rail welding mold is composed of divided mold groups of an upper mold group 13 and a lower mold 14 with which the joining part of rails 11, 12 is enclosed and which are used for thermit welding rails 11, 12 having a cavity part 21 inside in an assembled state. The mold sealing method is provided for keeping sealing completely by providing linear projecting parts 21a, 26a, together with bevelings 21b, 26b in the respective mold groups.
