Abstract:
To provide a proximity sensor with improved hardness of a core.SOLUTION: A proximity sensor detects at least one of the presence/absence and the position of a metal body by using a magnetic field. The proximity sensor comprises: a core having a cylindrical part, a bottom part which closes one end of the cylindrical part, a first intermediate shaft part which is surrounded by the cylindrical part, and a second intermediate shaft part which is continuous with the first intermediate shaft part and the bottom part, with its diameter increasing from the first intermediate shaft part toward the bottom part; and a detection coil, for generating the magnetic field, which is wound around the first intermediate shaft part and the second intermediate shaft part inside the cylindrical part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
