Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition large in refractive index in a thickness direction when made as a film and suitable for an optical compensation film excellent in optical properties such as large in-plane phase difference, small wavelength dependence and excellent in mechanical properties such as elongation, and the optical compensation film using the same.SOLUTION: There is provided a resin composition which contains a fumarate ester-cinnamic ester copolymer containing a fumarate ester residue unit and a cinnamic ester residue unit and a plasticizer and has weight average molecular weight of the plasticizer of 50 to 10,000 in terms of standard polystyrene and SP value calculated by a Fedors method of the plasticizer of 8.5 to 11.5.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
