Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing device for a hydraulic shock absorber in which it is easy to open a chuck lip even when a valve opening pressure of the chuck lip is small and it is difficult to exfoliate the chuck lip during reverse-pressure.SOLUTION: The device is provided with a check lip 15 allowing only a flow of fluid toward a reservoir chamber formed between an inner cylinder and an outer cylinder 3. The chuck lip 15 further comprises: a tip lip 17 provide at its tip, opposed to a valve seat face 5f of a rod guide 5 in an axial direction, and contacting it approachably/separatably; and plural second-step lips 18 provided at a position fromm the tip lip in an inner circumferential direction, opposed to the valve seat face 5f in an axial direction, and contacting it approachably/separatably.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
