Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a conveyor belt which regularly gets out of alignment may damage a roller, a motor for driving the roller and/or the belt, which increases remarkably costs, reduces reliability and accordingly decreases customer satisfaction.SOLUTION: An outer surface of a roller 110 has roller outer parts 112 and a center crown part 114 between the roller outer parts. A belt 100 has belt outer parts 102 and a belt center part 104 between the belt outer parts. The belt outer parts contact the roller outer parts, and the belt center part contacts the center crown part of the roller. The belt outer parts have further lower flexibility, and the belt center part has comparatively higher flexibility. A difference in flexibility between the further higher flexibility and the further lower flexibility can energize the belt outer parts toward the center crown part of the roller and maintain the belt center part so as to be self aligned with the center crown part of the roller.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
