PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyolefin microporous membrane capable of ensuring battery safety and excellent in surface workability, a battery separator, and a battery.SOLUTION: A microporous membrane for battery separators contains a polyolefin resin. The average Pof power spectral densities obtained by Fourier transform of surface shape profile data of the microporous membrane satisfies 15(mm nm)≤P≤45(mm nm) in the spatial frequency range of 30 (/mm) or more and 80 (/mm) or less.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
