Abstract:
To reduce malfunction of sheet supply.SOLUTION: A lifting/lowering motor lifts and lowers a paper feeding tray 2 for loading paper sheets P. A floating part 8 blows air for floating the paper sheets P to the paper sheets P on the paper feeding tray 2. A conveyance part 10 conveys the uppermost paper sheet P among the paper sheets P floated by the floating part 8. An upper limit sensor 11 comprises a light-emitting part for emitting light onto a paper sheet P side from a side of the paper sheets P on the paper feeding tray 2, and a light-receiving part for receiving light from the paper sheet P side. A control part 12 performs controlling so as to stop air blowing by the floating part 8 in a floating airflow stop period set for each of conveying cycles of the paper sheets P by the conveyance part 10. Further, the control part 12 acquires a light-receiving amount of the light-receiving part at a timing during falling of the paper sheets P floated by the floating part 8 other than the paper sheet P conveyed by the conveyance part 10 to control the lifting/lowering motor based on the acquired light-receiving amount, in the floating airflow stop period.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
