Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a single terminal-modified ring-opened polymer of silacyclobutane in which thermal stability, optical characteristics etc. of a finally obtained polymer can be improved because a ring-opened polymer of silacyclobutane can be introduced into a polymer obtained by polymerizing polymerizable groups when a substituent having the polymerizable reactive group is introduced into the ring-opened polymer of silacyclobutane.SOLUTION: There is provided a terminal-modified ring-opened polymer of silacyclobutane, which is a ring-opened polymer of silacyclobutane with a substituent having a hydrosilyl group, a halosilyl group, or a reactive group introduced into one terminal thereof, in which the reactive group is a group selected from an oxygen-containing cyclic hydrocarbon group, an α,β-unsaturated carbonyl group, an α,β-unsaturated carbonyloxy group, an active hydrogen-containing group, an unsaturated bond-containing hydrocarbon group, a halogen atom, and a hydrosilyl group, and in which the number of repeating units of a 1-silabutyl group is 2 to 1,000,000.
