PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sintered body capable of effectively releasing heat accompanying wavelength conversion and a light-emitting device.SOLUTION: In a light-emitting device 10, a sintered body has a wavelength conversion area (14a) containing a phosphor material for ejecting a second light (L2) by converting wavelength of a primary light (L1) from a semiconductor laser 12 and a holding area (14b) arranged in contact with the wavelength conversion area (14a), and the wavelength conversion area (14a) and the holding area (14b) are integrated.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
