Abstract:
To realize a structure capable of effectively suppressing vibrations of a steering wheel, and saving energy.SOLUTION: A steering shaft 5a includes a backward upper shaft 15, a forward lower shaft 16, and a reverse input cutoff clutch 17 interposed between the upper shaft 15 and lower shaft 16. When a rotational torque is inputted to the upper shaft 15, the reverse input cutoff clutch 17 transmits the rotational torque of the upper shaft 15 to the lower shaft 16. When a rotational torque is inputted to the lower shaft 16, the reverse input cutoff clutch does not transmit the rotational torque of the lower shaft 16 to the upper shaft 15 or transmits part of the rotational torque of the lower shaft 16 to the upper shaft 15 and cuts off the remainder.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
