Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a handlebar lock mechanism and a handlebar lock device which can be used in a movable body capable of changing a travel direction using a handlebar, and which are resistant to a lock release attempt with an aggressive approach including destructive acts.SOLUTION: A handlebar lock device (20) comprises: an engagement hole (11c) formed in a steering column (11a); a lock pin (31) for locking a handlebar (5) by engaging a pin tip part (31a) with the engagement hole (11c); a lock pin drive mechanism which moves the lock pin (31) to engage the pin tip part (31a) with the engagement hole (11c) when performing locking, and which moves the lock pin (31) to pull out the pin tip part (31a) from the engagement hole (11c) when performing lock releasing. The engagement hole (11c), the lock pin (31), the lock pin drive mechanism are encased in a frame (2) of a bicycle (1), and attached thereto invisibly from the outside of the bicycle (1).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
