To provide a cooking stove, in which, when a foreign object is detected by a sensor, it may return to a fire power adjusted to the height of the detected foreign object after reducing the fire power of a stove burner.SOLUTION: A cooking stove comprises a plurality of sensors on the front side of a stove burner. In the sensor, the light emitting unit emits light and a light receiving unit receives reflected light reflected by a foreign object. A CPU of the cooking stove determines whether or not a foreign object is detected within the height range of a determination value A or less based on the reflected light received by the light receiving unit (S13). In a case where the foreign object is detected below the judgment value A (S13: YES), the CPU reduces fire power of the stove burner to the minimum fire power (S14). After reducing the fire power, the CPU returns the fire power of the stove burner to a safe fire power adjusted to the height of the detected foreign object (S17). Accordingly, even if a handle of a cooking pot is detected as a foreign object and the fire power is reduced, the fire power of the corresponding stove burner is returned to the safe fire power, so that the usability can be improved.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
