Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intake system applicable for an internal combustion engine having an intake passage bifurcating for three cylinders and capable of preventing deterioration of the volumetric efficiency without having larger construction.SOLUTION: In an intake system for an internal combustion engine 1 in which an air cleaner 11 is provided upstream of a bifurcation point of an intake passage 3 where the intake passage 3 bifurcates for three cylinders 2. The air cleaner 11 includes a volume change mechanism 44 for changing the volume of a space 43 being an intake passage inside a case 40.
