Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve quality of images formed on a recording medium.SOLUTION: A thermal print head improves quality of images formed on a recording medium P as follows: a plurality of head units 2,3 are provided with head substrates 6, 26 where heating regions 15, 29 are set in a sub-scanning direction S2 or an opposite direction and side surfaces 6C, 26C adjacent to the head units 2, 3 are inclined, and radiator plates 5, 25 each on one surface of which the head substrates 6, 26 are disposed; the head substrates 6, 26 are disposed on one surface of the plurality of radiator plates 5, 25 while setting a squeeze-out amount of each of the side surfaces 6C, 26C to 0 mm or more; the plurality of head units 2, 3 are successively disposed side by side in the main scanning direction while alternately positioning the head substrate 26 where the heating region 29 is located in the sub-scanning direction S2 and the head substrate 6 located in the opposite direction; and thereby the plurality of head substrates 6, 26 easily come close or in contact with each other and are connected with each other in high accuracy without being inhibited by the radiator plates 5, 25.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
