Abstract:
This ultrasonic probe comprises: a long body part which has a transducer disposed on the distal end in the length direction, and has opposing front and rear surfaces; and a holding part which is disposed in the periphery of a portion more toward the distal end than the center of the body part in the length direction. The holding part includes: first recesses that extend from respective sides toward the center in the width direction on the front surface on the distal end side, distal ends of the first recesses being connected to one another; and second recesses that are disposed in positions opposing the first recesses on the rear surface, and having the same shapes as the first recesses. The holding part has a peripheral length in a range of 10 to 14 cm. The ultrasonic probe can thus be stably held.
