PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner and a cleaner system where it is easy to grip a handle part and take it from the state in which the cleaner is placed in a posture with a handle rear end above and a handle front end below.SOLUTION: A vacuum cleaner includes: a fan motor 4 which generates suction air; a suction port body sucking dust from a surface to be cleaned; a dust separation part which separates the sucked air and dust; and a columnar handle part 8 to be gripped by hand. When an end part of the handle part 8 nearer the suction port body is a handle front end 8c and an end part of the handle part 8 far from the suction port body is a handle rear end 8d, in the posture that the handle rear end 8d is above and the handle front end 8c is below, the vacuum cleaner is supported by a stand or can stand by itself and, with respect to a cross-section area severing the handle part 8 by a flat surface orthogonal to its longitudinal direction, a cross-section area of the handle rear end 8d is larger than a cross-section area 8c of the handle front end.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
