Abstract:
To provide a vane pump in which a communication hole penetratingly formed at a side plate which slide-contacts with a rotor can be easily formed, and which can be inexpensively manufactured.SOLUTION: A first side plate 7 slide-contacting with a rotor 8 is formed of a sintered metal material which is obtained by molding and sintering metal powder. Communication holes 30C, 30D and 30E opened at a rear surface opposing a bottom face and a surface of a first discharge-side circular arc-shaped groove part 30A, and penetrating the first side plate 7 in a width direction are formed at the first side plate 7. The communication holes 30C, 30D and 30E connectively constitute a small-diameter hole 30F for making a part of a discharge fluid circulate in a linear shape in parallel with an axial line, and opened at the bottom face of the first discharge-side circular arc-shaped groove part 30A, and a large-diameter hole opened at the rear surface, and larger than the small-diameter hole 30F, and also form a wall face at a connection part between the small-diameter hole 30F and the large-diameter hole.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
