Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation method of a wind power generator capable of appropriately reducing a load acting on components of a wind mill.SOLUTION: An operation method of a wind power generator including a wind mill rotor with a wind mill blade includes the steps of: acquiring a wind direction of wind the wind mill rotor receives; acquiring at least one of a wind speed of wind the wind mill rotor receives and an index of turbulence of the wind speed; and based on whether the at least one of the wind speed and the index of turbulence is equal to or more than a threshold, selecting an operation mode of the wind power generator from among a plurality of operation modes containing a normal operation mode and one or more load suppression operation modes in which a load acting on the wind mill blade is smaller than the normal operation mode. The at least one threshold of the wind speed and the index of turbulence is variable according to the wind direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
