Abstract:

The invention relates to substituted 1,4-benzothiazepine-1,1-dioxide derivatives and to the acid addition salts thereof. The invention discloses 1,4-benzothiazepine-1,1-dioxide derivatives of formula (I), wherein R<1>, R<2>, R<3> and Z have the cited descriptions, the physiologically compatible salts thereof and physiologically functional derivatives, as well as methods for producing the same. The compounds are suited for use, e.g. as hypolipidemic agents.
