Abstract:
The present invention relates to the field of 3D printing, and provides a 3D printer and a printing method therefor. The 3D printer comprises at least two printing cartridges, a printing cartridge mounting bracket, a moving frame, a drive head, at least two print heads and at least two switching apparatuses, wherein the printing cartridge mounting bracket is used for mounting the printing cartridges, the drive head is mounted on the moving frame, each print head receives consumable supplied by one printing cartridge, the print heads are separably connected to the drive head via a first connecting apparatus, and each switching apparatus is connected separably with a print head via a second connecting apparatus. The printing method comprises the drive head moving one print head connected to the drive head to one switching apparatus; connecting the switching apparatus to the print head; separating the drive head from the print head; moving the drive head to the other print head; connecting the drive head to the print head; and separating the switching apparatus from the print head.
