Abstract:
The present invention prevents erroneous detection due to noise and the like generated from equipment in the vicinity of a rolling mill, and detects abnormal vibration accurately. This abnormal vibration detection method for a rolling mill comprises: a collection step for collecting vibration data about the rolling mill; a frequency analysis step for generating first analysis data by performing a frequency analysis on the vibration data; a principal component analysis step for using reference data specified in advance on the basis of a normal state as a principal component to perform a principal component analysis on the first analysis data, and generating evaluation data, which is the projection of the first analysis data onto the reference data; and an abnormal vibration detection step for extracting a deviation component from the evaluation data and the first analysis data, and detecting an abnormality of the rolling mill from the extracted deviation component.
